Wednesday November 04, 2009 15:51:13 EST
The New Mexico Environment Department has downgraded Dickey's BBQ, 1660 South Valley Dr. in Las Cruces after a compliance inspection, according to the department.
Food safety risks uncovered in Tuesday's inspection included improper holding temperatures; poor personal hygiene; improper storage of food, utensils, chemicals; inadequate cooking or cooling; and contaminated equipment, the department reported.
The department will re-inspect the restaurant after corrective measures are taken and at the eatery's request. An "unsatisfactory" grade emblem was posted at each entrance.
A copy of the inspection report may be obtained by contacting the NMED Las Cruces field office, (575) 524-6300.
